Holiday Break

All who popped in here...Thank you so much for your comments! I'm glad I'm here. It is so motivating to have people around who are waiting for something new to be posted. I work best when things I create are a present for someone else. So these pictures are and will be my presents for you:)
I've only been here for one week, and I'm going to disappear again now for the two following weeks. Going on holidays with my three friends and our bikes. It's a birthday celebration of ours... all together 100 years! :) I'll probably won't have access to internet and scanner and everything, so there won't be any pictures... but I promise I won't stop drawing and when I'm back, it'll be Christmas!!! And I'll be looking forward to what's new under your trees, metaphorically speaking... :)

Bugs in my Room

This week I went home for a visit. The weather was really... REALLY HOT!!! I checked the weather forcast for the whole of Europe. Yesterday, temperatures at home (central Europe small town) were hotter than Rome, hotter than Cyprus, even hotter than Kahira or Tunis!!! 37 DEGREES! This has consequences... later at night, all local bugs just love to crawl on the warmed surface of our block of flats...the red one (upper left corner) woke me up on Tuesday morning walking my arm. The BIG ONE just popped in on Wednesday evening, furiously circling around my lamp...making me furious...turning me into a killer. Serial bug-killer.
The wasp died naturally. I found her in my wardrobe.
PS: I'm tempted to color them...I will")

My Breakfast

I need to get some serious color pencils. If you saw the wrecks I'm using:)
I'm not very happy about the composition of this one. A bit overcrowded up there. But I loved the process of making tea on the Pickwick tea bag and couldn't resist gluing it on the page. A little imbalance never hurts, I hope:)

Meet the Nude? (# 70)

This morning I finished my scatch of the nude who "attacked" me yesterday while drawing the planetarium scatch (below). It was obvious that the sunscreen was not what he wanted. It was my idea to draw a portrait of him (I was afraid and wanted to keep him at one place, and also I had a reason not to talk - I need to concentrate). I KNOW I could have simply walked away... but that's me. I have a fear of saying no to people or disapproving with them and them becoming aggressive. I know the text next to the portrait looks pretty light-hearted and me all in control but I assure you I was s**t-scared.
I had no idea scatching can be dangerous...
PS: There's something ?????:) about drawing a portrait of a nude...

Draw a skyscape. Well,...

Today was a hot sunny day and I decided to catch a patch of sky for the latest EDM challenge, but thinks worked so, that I ended up probably at number 36. Anyway, I enjoyed it. At least before the nude arrived...")

I bought a MOLESKINE!

A year ago I didn't even know what a moleskine was. But then I discovered Keri Smith and Danny Gregory and today I look at my own moleskine and read it's "the legendary notebook of Hamingway, Picasso, Chatwin". Who the hell is Chatwin??? This will never end. Hope I'll find out before I go to bed "in the expandable inner pocket". I'd love to spend a night in the expandable inner pocket of my moleskine:) ....curious what will be my first moleskine drawing. Need to say it again and again, moleskine, moleskine, moleskine, moleskine, moleskine.....

PS: In between check out my old (10 years before Moleskine) pictures at Rotten Archive.

My First Entry ! !!

Don't know where to begin. I think I can begin Big (read Vague). There are so many beautiful things all around us that I so successfully manage to ignore every day. I can't even tell you what I mean cause I'm such an ignorant. But I decided to take notice of these little things... and yes, I want to start drawing again, and so my thinking is as follows: I will start scatching a little bit and I'll put these little creations on this blog, and I'll have kind of motivation to do it cause there might be someone to see it, maybe like it, maybe enjoy it and maybe starts noticing the little things around. I'm looking forward to where this is going to take me...
