Sticky and rusty unearthed and then gone...

Today I went for a pig...hmm, pardon, a pic hunt:) I caught clumps of blue berries on very red stems...
violet door...
and a piece of dustbin poetry...

under the woman's surface
i dig my nails in
to plaster slowly
climbing white fences
low walls
into strangers' gardens
for fruit
in laces
i'm tearing leaves
i love you
(anonymous)

This is such a nice idea. Last semester I used to pass these poetry dustbins on my way to 'uni' and they made me smile. This is my thanks to the dustbin poet.

Come and have a look at my Flickr to see more berries and rust...

Autumn leaves...

Well, Autumnm has left a long time ago... so, I'm trying to catch up. Lately I've made two trips to "highlands" nearby the city I study in. One in the peak of Autumn and one in what seemed to be the peak of winter (20 cms of snow, snowstorm, 11 November!!!!). I have the pictures from these trips still in my mind as well as this thought...

Silent last two months...

Hello. The school began and again I find it hard to devote time to both, work and imagination. I guess I'm still creative but in different forms... chatting with roommates, writing response papers for my classes, preparing games or exercises for English lessons, or pondering ideas I can use for my diploma thesis. I welcome this variety that comes after summer, the mixture of activities as well as colouring of leaves on the trees. That's why I decided to keep up with AUTUMN and transform my scatchblog into a kind of all-art-inclusive blog to feel more free about my posting. I'll start today. This are three pairs of earings I made this weekend. What I like about them is the totallly different character...

For Earth Mother...

This is pure crystal, supposed to protect you... and my fleecy sweater:) ...very protective as well...

For a princess...

Hope you like these as much as I do:) If you want to see more photoes from the last weekend...earings, trees and and lots of green (I discovered I LOVE green!) visit my flickr site as well!!

Ha Ha

Well, haven't done much proper drawing these days. I'm nervous about exams, have too many visitors and I'm lazy too:) The peach for this weeks challenge fell pray to my midnight hunger. I found out that I don't feel quilty about drawing when I don't spend much time on it and the subject has to do something I'm supposed to be doing at the moment... German state exams. Welcome...

EDM #3 Draw a Handbag...

This is a bag I was given... on Thursday it will be exactly a year... for my birthday by my uni-friends. It has a beautiful patchwork look, it's a perfect size... not too big, not too small... and I DO REALLY like it, in comparism to its portait here. I still feel the urge to put some more layers of color but I'm learning that sometimes you need to let things go even when they are not perfect... like the chat I had this afternoon with one very cute boy and I kept... well, that's a different story... Damn!:)

Tried an animated movie...

I promise, I'll post a new picture soon. I'm so busy with schoolwork... hours spent in a computer room... This is just a filler but maybe you like it as well. It's a short animated movie I shot the last week in July with my brother in a workshop at a film festival together with some animation students (What a sentence!). Anyone was invited to give animation a try and it was fun! Here it is an it's called elephant-catcher.

I'm Back!

Hello! The holiday is over. At work again. First, I need to apologize. I promised to come with a collection of pictures and give you metaphorical Christmas time...but in the end it's more of a fasting:) I had a great time in Beskydy hills, done an awful lot of hiking and cycling, end every evening ended up with energy enough to make a cup of tea, lay down on the sofa and watch a detective series from the eighties.
But I have something. Sandy, the colored bugs for you:)

And yesterday I ran out of my favourite forest strawberry lip gloss. I've carried it around at least half a year and it's not easy to say good bye and throw it away, so this is for my lip gloss:

Holiday Break

All who popped in here...Thank you so much for your comments! I'm glad I'm here. It is so motivating to have people around who are waiting for something new to be posted. I work best when things I create are a present for someone else. So these pictures are and will be my presents for you:)
I've only been here for one week, and I'm going to disappear again now for the two following weeks. Going on holidays with my three friends and our bikes. It's a birthday celebration of ours... all together 100 years! :) I'll probably won't have access to internet and scanner and everything, so there won't be any pictures... but I promise I won't stop drawing and when I'm back, it'll be Christmas!!! And I'll be looking forward to what's new under your trees, metaphorically speaking... :)

Bugs in my Room

This week I went home for a visit. The weather was really... REALLY HOT!!! I checked the weather forcast for the whole of Europe. Yesterday, temperatures at home (central Europe small town) were hotter than Rome, hotter than Cyprus, even hotter than Kahira or Tunis!!! 37 DEGREES! This has consequences... later at night, all local bugs just love to crawl on the warmed surface of our block of flats...the red one (upper left corner) woke me up on Tuesday morning walking my arm. The BIG ONE just popped in on Wednesday evening, furiously circling around my lamp...making me furious...turning me into a killer. Serial bug-killer.
The wasp died naturally. I found her in my wardrobe.
PS: I'm tempted to color them...I will")

My Breakfast

I need to get some serious color pencils. If you saw the wrecks I'm using:)
I'm not very happy about the composition of this one. A bit overcrowded up there. But I loved the process of making tea on the Pickwick tea bag and couldn't resist gluing it on the page. A little imbalance never hurts, I hope:)

Meet the Nude? (# 70)

This morning I finished my scatch of the nude who "attacked" me yesterday while drawing the planetarium scatch (below). It was obvious that the sunscreen was not what he wanted. It was my idea to draw a portrait of him (I was afraid and wanted to keep him at one place, and also I had a reason not to talk - I need to concentrate). I KNOW I could have simply walked away... but that's me. I have a fear of saying no to people or disapproving with them and them becoming aggressive. I know the text next to the portrait looks pretty light-hearted and me all in control but I assure you I was s**t-scared.
I had no idea scatching can be dangerous...
PS: There's something ?????:) about drawing a portrait of a nude...

Draw a skyscape. Well,...

Today was a hot sunny day and I decided to catch a patch of sky for the latest EDM challenge, but thinks worked so, that I ended up probably at number 36. Anyway, I enjoyed it. At least before the nude arrived...")

I bought a MOLESKINE!

A year ago I didn't even know what a moleskine was. But then I discovered Keri Smith and Danny Gregory and today I look at my own moleskine and read it's "the legendary notebook of Hamingway, Picasso, Chatwin". Who the hell is Chatwin??? This will never end. Hope I'll find out before I go to bed "in the expandable inner pocket". I'd love to spend a night in the expandable inner pocket of my moleskine:) ....curious what will be my first moleskine drawing. Need to say it again and again, moleskine, moleskine, moleskine, moleskine, moleskine.....

PS: In between check out my old (10 years before Moleskine) pictures at Rotten Archive.

My First Entry ! !!

Don't know where to begin. I think I can begin Big (read Vague). There are so many beautiful things all around us that I so successfully manage to ignore every day. I can't even tell you what I mean cause I'm such an ignorant. But I decided to take notice of these little things... and yes, I want to start drawing again, and so my thinking is as follows: I will start scatching a little bit and I'll put these little creations on this blog, and I'll have kind of motivation to do it cause there might be someone to see it, maybe like it, maybe enjoy it and maybe starts noticing the little things around. I'm looking forward to where this is going to take me...
